Teacup Gifts

Teacup GiftsTeacup / Imperial Shih Tzu

I did not create the labels "Imperial or" cup of tea. "These words were already set in stone before I ever boarded. I picked up the terms only because potential customers have been asking me for "Imperial Size" or "size cup of tea." I rarely apply to "Standard" size shih tzu as defined by the American Kennel Club. As these words of Imperial Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu cup of tea were so common to describe a particular size of shih tzu and I saw what the words are put people in boxes search engines search for size they want in a shih tzu, I began to use words and especially to be able to communicate with potential customers in their own language.

The small size shih tzu are not inferior simply because they are in poor health. It is a myth or outright lie being spread by those who favor one size shih tzu, which they say is the only size shih tzu that should be on the market. And the ill will that I heard of this group of people against these little guys is almost unreal, as if these little shih tzu size should not have the same rights as the "standard" size, perhaps not even the right "live" if that side of the ballot had its ultimate way of things. And ...... as if people who have these little guys command a sale price higher than it is proof of the breeder is doing something outrageously WRONG. Well as I said ........ ....... rarely does anyone ask me for a "standard" size shih tzu. There is a huge market of individuals and families who prefer smaller sizes, including me. I like all sizes, but the small ones are my favorites. They are like little tiny treasures, almost always sweeter than most guys. To me they are like an exquisite gem in the middle of all kinds of other jewelry. They require more work from the farmer. Often, to keep them going at first because they are so small they must be hand-fed and fed additional supplements daily Nutri-Cal. For these reasons being that small treasures, exquisite jewelry, rare and unique from everything else, and because all the extra work involved in raising them, they command a higher price.

And ....... I still say, everything I've read ....... the Shih Tzu small ....... probably under 6 pounds, 7 and 8 guns were the first shih tzu to ever be born by the Chinese Dowager Emporess in the imperial palace of China. The larger sizes have been rejected by the farms day in advance made in the Palace. They are often sold to peasants in the streets. Most pups were placed under guard, were actually very fortunate ones who slept on satin pillows in the palace, which belonged to the elite and wealthy of that time were given as gifts to diplomats visited the Imperial Palace as the most ultimate gift of all to receive the Princess. They were the shih tzu that was very reverened and cherished. These little dogs under the table are sometimes so small that the Chinese could carry them in their sleeves. Try to get a dog from 9-16 pounds in your pocket? Does not work, no matter the size of this race is. We all have our lines in these early breeders. The Princess was mean and ruthless and was known for having little regard for anyone other than her shih tzu. It has been burned several times and eventually I suppose when all games are made, she felt lost and was found to have committed suicide with all her little shih tzu around her. Thus, the legends of the shih tzu are steeped in myth and mystery stories it is not surprising that there is still much controversy about them and ...... it is about these little guys as it seems. They seem to be the most mysterious of all - another reason why they command a higher price. They are exquisite little creatures.

They actually belong to a recognized class of their own. I hope to see Ken-American.
