I think the traditional second anniversary gift is supposed to be cotton, although there is a revised table that lists birthday gift of precious stones as a gift of almost every year. This list should have been made by a woman. Lol.
Although all the answers here sound absolutely fantastic, I think most couples who are in love to enjoy something like a personalized momento love the opportunity. A personalized gift can be expensive for many years to come.

I would say a holiday (weekend away) in a beautiful country ... out and relax together ... Perhaps a luxurious spa retreat ... You can book massages and care for each other every weekend
