Corporate Food Gifts

Corporate Food GiftsHelp Pls. Boss wants to give small gifts, but not sure???, A JW staff? What to do? Presentment?

I am a small team boss in large enterprises co. There is not a policy against giving small gifts. I would like to show my gratitude to my team this time of year. I have many questions about everything. One of my team is a Jevovah witnesses and do not celebrate Christmas and I want to respect that. We are part of a great team and this team has already celebrated with two parties and a holiday bingo game in which employees receive small gifts. She chose not to participate, but do not appear unwell. Tomorrow my team is having a little lunch and I am aware that my team has chosen to give me a gift small group which did not participate. I understand. I would do the same to all with a small gift but do not know what to offer and how to give, how to present not exclude it. I purchased some "food" baskets gift, but now wonder if that is correct. I do not do much more than what they do and can not afford many things. What should I do, how do I do? Presentment? Aid

Maybe make a little speech to your breakfast giving you joy and satisfaction of the team and its efforts, and you offer them food as gifts Thank you.

Even if it is a gift at Christmas, using the idea of a "thank you for everything you have done" type of card would be acceptable to all.

This way, you show your gratitude to everyone in your team and thank them with a small gift.

If a member of your team chooses to refuse to accept your donation, because of his religion, even admitting that respect and move on to others.

The other co-workers would understand the situation and you only need to accept your donation of your team with understanding and respect.

You're a good person and a good boss to think your team that way.

Congratulations and Merry Christmas.

give him the food donation as thanks, the rest could go into a bag (like a secret santa), let each guest choose a gift, or simply place a gift for each person at their desk with a thank you very short but beautiful - you note.

What I use to like was, the extra time for lunch and one hour early on Christmas Eve. Tell them it's for their hard work for the year. They can use this time to do what they want if it's for shopping or just extra time to spend at home.

Giving everyone the same, after all, they are a team.

This is not your problem that an employee is a Jehovah's Witness. They are permitted to receive gifts, but they do not celebrate the same way.

Do not worry if it contributes to the Christmas office or not, it is part of your team and you must be seen to treat everyone the same.

There are many non-Christian religions that celebrate gifts around this time of year. You can be Jewish, atheist, Muslim, Agnostic etc, and celebrate Christmas in a non-religious as we all do.

Very few people celebrate Christmas as a purely religious festival.

Just tell him it's a gift of thanks, and not X-mas gift. Even though she knows they are only given because of it being a little vacation, you can thank your account if you do not do horribly Christmasy (red and green all.) Maybe put a card of thanks on her with a note of some kind and leave it on his desk if it does not participate in the gift exchange group.
